Electrical Safety (Schools)
It is important for workers to understand how electricity acts and the hazards it presents. Only trained and authorized electricians can work on electrical equipment or energized electrical parts. Although electrocution deaths are down, there are still many electrical injuries each year. Some hazards are shock, burns arc blasts, explosions and fires. This program deals with the various types of electrical hazards with emphasis on safety.
Topics covered in this safety video include: the national electrical code, primary hazards of electricity, resistance, poor conductors of electricity, completed circuit, 3 wires, copper ground rod, extension cords, grounding adapter, electrical cords, and double insulation.
